It was a cold day in New York. It was always cold at the time of the year when it gets close to winter. Add in the rain, and was a most miserable day to be outside. A man ran into a dark allay street, panting as if he had been running for some time. He was quickly pursued by another man. The first pulled a firearm that looked like it did not belong in 1863 New York. The other did same, for the first was a criminal on the run from the second.
